I never had any real intention to get this. I already have the original Energon releases of the molds and I also have the Takara Buildron exclusive giftset which I've tried to get rid of.
I'm just no fan of the central part or the combined form.
However, SpectroScott found me one for about 50% off so I figured what the hell, I'll add it to the collection.
Classics Devestator (Scavenger, Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Long Haul, and Hightower) are the 1979th through 1983rd Transformers that I've acquired.
Ya know, movie Starscream isn't that bad of a toy.
He's just... not Starscream.
Toywise he's pretty cool. I'm impressed.
So... I think I'll call him... Machine Wars Starscreen.
It'll make it easier to buy him.

Oh. And this is the most worthless repaint ever.
The more I look at the Energon combiners the more I realize I was stupid for ever combining them.
They really were a poor attempt to give the line a gestalt in my opinion.
And the Constructicon Maximus molds look the ugliest to me.
So. I suppose I am a hater here on these guys.
Anyone want a Japanese TRU Exclusive Buildron set for $40 + shipping?
Ok. I got around to snapping some quick shots of the new wave minicons in bot mode.
Overall, I can't say I'm a huge fan of minicons.
Give me Micromasters any day over these guys.
And believe me. I'm not a G1 guy at all.
(Lotsa big ass photos in this one kids.)
Words cannot convey how much I love this figure.
Yes. He's all ghost white with barely any trim or other color except for some blue/teal here and there.
I don't care.
I love him.
I love him lots.
Classics Ultra Magnus is the 1821st Transformer that I've acquired.
Part of the "Battle of Autobot City" 2-Pack along with Ultra Magnus.
Classics Skywarp is the 1820th Transformer that I've acquired.
I really want to love Cliffjumper here but in the end I just can get over the fact he's merely a red and silver Bumblebee.
The Classics Bumblebee head was just too special to be reused.
I really wish they would have retooled the head a bit and changed the smile.
Cliffjumper is just not the kind of bot to smile.
Classics Cliffjumper is the 1819th Transformer that I've acquired.
Oil Slick will so end up painted as the General Lee. You know it.
Grindor's not bad for an SUV.
Now Dirt Rocket here is one fine motorcycle!
Oil Slick, Grindor, and Dirt Rocket are the 1812th, 1813th, and 1814th Transformers that I've acquired.
This little guy (above) makes an awesome jet. Very much in the vein of Cybertron Jetfire really.
The paint deco on Thunderwing's wing tops is fantastic.
I'll never be a huge fan of minicon bot modes, but damn that's a fine dragon alt mode.
Steelwind, Thunderwing, and Nightscream are the 1809th, 1810th, and 1811th Transformers that I've acquired.
After really putz'n around with the new minicons, I kinda wish they'd gone with a Classics Micromasters kind of vibe and by that I mean tiny versions of more standard looking bots.
Wow!
These guys are... how does one put it without offending... um... different.
Ya know. I thought I'd like him a lot more but I'm sorta-kinda-meh about him.
His head sculpt is fantastic though.
Classics Grimlock is the 1794th added to the Attic of Love.
I've had you less than 4 hours and I am totally in love with Classics Mirage! In a totally gay way even!!!
He's everything I hoped for in a Classics figure.
He's a perfect homage to his G1 self. He's got a certain lanky-ness that I find completely appealing right now.
And...
He's the most insanely articulate Transformer that's been released in a long long long long time!
Mirage can be posed in so many ways that it blows my mind!!!
Thank you Hasbro!
I'll love him long time!
Classics Mirage is the 1771st Transformer that I've acquired.
Much like his box companion Prime, Megatron is just kind of there.
I really like certain parts of him but as a whole he's just not doing it for me.
He feels cheap and suffers from one of my only pet peeves about TFs which is a gimpy hand on a non-Shockwave figure.
His head is great though. I tried photographing him from different angles and then I realized it was just best to go for the mid-shot and leave off his guns and especially his feet-claw things.
Even with his bright colors, regular Classics Megatron beats this one hands down!
Classics Megatron is the 1770th Transformer that I've acquired.
Um. I try not to be a hater any more when it comes to the plastic crack that Hasbro and Takara put out but man oh man this was just feels "called in".
The Ultimate Battle 2-Pack totally feels like an after-thought. There's just something cheap about Prime. He even feels a bit like a knock-off.
And the alt mode? Oy koledy! Don't even put him in truck mode. Keep him in bot mode. It isn't that bad really and in fact, it has a Super Ginrai-esque minor vibe to the head.
But so far, the real Classics Prime rules the day in this line!
Classics Optimus Prime is the 1769th Transformer that I've acquired.
