Yeah. I know. I was less than thrilled a couple of days ago with the original mainstream release.
Not sure if he'll go back or not.
I've never been into the endless repaints of the Seekers.
Sure... in my completest days, I'd buy up whatever was out but outside of Starscream, the others rarely came out of the package.
But the insanely colored Sunstorm has always appealed to me.
I suppose because there aren't a whole lot of bright yellow robots out there.
I'd buy the chick Starscream if they ever made her but this is it for me on Starscream animated repaints.
To state the my favorite Transformer of all time has been given a grave injustice by Hasbro in the Animated line would be putting it mildly.
So Giga happened to be out and found an Animated Swindle. I've never seen him in the wild at all.
He's a fun little figure. And I'm surprised at how they've taken a relatively minor character from G1 and made such a massive improvement on him.
It would have been fun to have gotten an entire G1 combiner like Bruticus totally redone in Animated. If Swindle is any indication, the Combaticons could would have turned out fantastic.
And no... I don't care that none of them would have been to scale. That just would suck all the fun out of having an Animated G1ish combiner.
Ya know... I loved the insanely yellow Mudflap repaint.
Hell... I'm not one to shy away from bright horribly gay Transformer color pallets either.
But damn... he's just one fugly mo fo.
Perhaps I'll paint a goatee on him and he'll be Earth-3 Ratchet or something.
Transformers Animated Ratchet (Target Exclusive) is the 2155th Transformer that I've acquired.
Funny.
I don't like the character. I'm not a fan of the design. I've never even opened the original I accidentally bought.
But damn if this $4 clearance version doesn't look too bad.
Of course... I'm a fan of the translucence.
Transformers Animated Stealth Lockdown is the 2154th Transformer that I've acquired.
