25th Anniversary G1 Insecticons

I don't care what Hasbro calls them now either due to losing the names or trying to remove the bomb damage aspect of their original names.

They will always be Shrapnel, Bombshell, and Kickback to me.

I bought these guys and Perceptor way back in early November and still feel guilty about wasting the money on them.

They were were $35 each or something. Way too much for my tastes these days.

This'll sound stupid but I probably wouldn't have felt bad if I'd bought the TarakaTomy reissues at that price but just to have these here from TRU?

25th Anniversary G1 Perceptor

The real G1 Perceptor I have is missing all his accessories including his microscope. Not much a Perceptor at all really.

Then again I did only pay like $3 for him out of some bin at either the Cowtown toy show or Botcon.

Funny. There used to be a time I could remember every stupid minute detail of where I got a figure. Now? Not so much.

Transformers Encore Ironhide

Transformers Encore 05 Ironhide

Encore Ironhide is the 2029th Transformer that I've acquired.

Transformers Encore Ratchet

Transformers Encore 06 Ratchet

Encore Ratchet is the 2028th Transformer that I've acquired.

Encore Sky Lynx

Encore Sky Lynx (Takara)

I'm not exactly what the kids call a "GeeWunner" at all.

But Sky Lynx was a figure that if you ever told me they'd re-release him I'd have told you that you were full of shit and then smacked you upside the head for spreading anti-truth.

So... that being said.

I finally gots me a fully operational brand new Sky Lynx.

Encore Sky Lynx (Takara) is the 2025th Transformer that I've acquired.

Wow! TakaraTomy is rereleasing fugly old G1 Ironhide and Ratchet in their Encore line.

Still no Sunstreaker yet.

I think I'll probably get the Sky-Lynx depending on the cost.

Pepsi Optimus Prime

Hasbro Pepsi Optimus Prime

I bought him because he was being sold.

Pepsi Optimus Prime is the 1938th Transformer that I've acquired.

Takara Micromasters "Berserker" Six-Wing (White Chase version)

I don't know why but I love these guys! So much better than the all black or all red chase versions.

Takara Micromasters Six-Wing is the 1913th through 1918th Transformer that I've acquired.

Reissue Soundwave with Ravage and Laserbeak

On retrospect, I feel really bad about buying both this figure set, and the Alternators.

Basically, I just contributed to "online retailers" basically descending on mass market toy chains, buying up all the exclusive figures to those chains, and then reselling them with a significant markup.

I thought it wouldn't bother me when I bought these but now it is.

Guilt over toys. That's the story of my frigg'n life.

Reissue Soundwave, Ravage, and Laserbeak are the 1854th to 1856th Transformers that I've acquired.

G1 Richochet Commemorative Series IX

So yeah, I already own the Takara Stepper reissue which is the source for Hasbro's Richochet figure which was never released here in the states in the 80s.

He's pretty much the last commemorative reissue figure to be sold by Toys R Us, excluding Astrotrain, who is being sold by the online Hasbro Toyshop.

Anyway, I wasn't going to get the Hasbro release unless I found him way cheap. Recent stops at the WeBeToys price scanned him at $34 which was just way too much to pay for him.

Even today, at Hamilton Road WeBeToys he was $34.

Now Giga and Evebird, while running around tonight, managed to hit the West Broad WeBeToys and guess what? He was frigg'n $9!!!

Nine dollars!!!

Why can these stores differ so greatly? It is insane. It is like this at Target and the much despised W place too.

Number in Collection: 1526
