I wanted him since he was first shown at Botcon.
The Cybertron Evac mold is one of my all-time favorites. I love the "lower legs and feet" for some reason more than other figures.
And the tail splitting to become "wings" is great.
But man oh man... once out of the box he's the shit in copter mode but the fact is that the Chinese can but on one helluva Olympic opening, have won the gold medal for women's gymnastics, but can't paint this figure for shit!
He's awful in bot mode. You can see it in his face.
Sad. I really was excited about him.
TF Universe Blades is the 2095th Transformer that I've acquired.

It is both sad and extremly frustrating that Hasbro CONTINUES this trend of shoddy materials and pain applications.
I'm sending back a BOX full of Animated toys and one Universe Prowl whose paint apps actually smudged off (also happened to my leader Megs). Grrrrr.
Love the mold and I already own TF Cybertron Evac. But Autobot Blades looks too red. I'm waiting for the Springer Target exclusive repaint.
Neospark, I suspect that this trend (which affects Mattel too - just look at their JLI line if you need proof) will continue because companies are being forced by the big guns of Wal-Mart and others to keep their price point low.
Could be worse. The Canadian dollar has been on par with the U.S. dollar for a year and we still pay much more here for our toys (and in trilingual packagin to boot). $30 for Blades? Yes sir.
To Nala, can you unscrew the head and send it to me by mail? If so, I can try and fix his face up for you (particularly if you have a colour scheme in mind).
well then. Hes not coming out of the box. Doesn't look bad in the box.
Fairplaythings,consider yourself lucky,we pay 52 USD for a voyager in Holland >:-(
