You know... I was just over at the Transformers Collectors Club forums, the only TF fandom forums I ever actually occasionally interact with, and I realized something.
The GRC is like 90 minutes away from here and I want to unload a shitload of the Collection Formerly Known As The Attic of Love.
I really should plan to rent a van, or maybe have my van by then, and cart the good stuff down to Botcon and sell it off there.
No shipping. No Ebay bullshit hassles. And just cash transactions.
Why am I such a retard that I didn't think of this earlier?
I'm getting too old.
Most definitely the mind is going.

If you try that, be sure to get a table, or you'll get bitched out in the hotel lobby like I did at Joecon.

Wow. You are serious about downsizing the TF collection? Gonna be interesting to read how you decide what to keep & discard - assuming you post your decision making process on the blog.
:)
If you listed some items for sale here, I'm sure many of us would be interested.
*hint, hint*
Hoop: I was thinking the hotel room trading thing. Even though I hate strangers in my room it'd be easiest.
I don't think I'd want to actually have to stand at a table. I've done that enough here at the Cowtown toy shows. That'd take what fun I do have at the con totally out of it.
Mate, if you do actually decide to downsize the former attic of luv, you just have to give us first dibs on it.
Please, post any lists and asking prices here first if you're willing. (Hmm, actually I probably won't make it to the GRC anyway, but still.)
Ho ho ho ho no...if you're selling you should definitely get a table.
Else where the hell are Max and I supposed to hang out once we're totally bored out of our minds with boredom? :)
Also, if we take the Fun and Flirty Fit, we can take some stuff that won't fit in your van (keep that in mind).
Also, Max and I could probably help man a table, if you gave us an idea of how low you're willing to go on things (keep that in mind).
Also, Max may not like that I'm volunteering him for stuff (keep that in mind).
Definately get yourself a table. A few years ago at the Toronto Comic Con a woman was selling her late husbands Star Trek stuff and they kicked her out. I found her standing outside the Con with all of it lined up on the street. She had some great stuff (I collect Trek stuff too and especially Megos). To this day I'm kicking myself for not buying Kirk, Spock, and McCoy Mego's still in the packages. I'm a dumbass for that...
