I'm usually totally excited about Doctor Who.

I mean... sure there have been a few duds in the new series but on the whole the good outweights the bad.

But this news is about as lackluster as I could ever imagine.

This story and character played out. Why return to it when there's a universe of infinite storytelling out there to explore.

*sigh*

this ridiculous story claims they're trying to get Tom Cruise to appear. WHATEVAH!

You hadn't guessed that they were going to do this? I am surprised. All he did all Season 3 was bemoan his loss of Blondie.

6 eps with Donna, 3 with Martha, and then this. Sounds like a full season for 2008 leading into the 4 one-shots in 2009 and then back to (hopefully) something new in 2010.

Uhh.....OK....

Usually I'm pleased with the way the writers of this series have handled various plotlines....this one though...how are they going to pull it off?

Man...I'd just have settled for some more Martha stories, really. Rose is sooo played. Miss Jones is the hotness.

Im not sure if its played out yet or not .Ill need to see what the story is before i pass judgement on it. personally i liked piper better . it would be cool if they explored a lot more of the heart of the tartus theme .

On other notes torchwood was cool and the rift machine sure looked intresting .

I agree that the Rose character's played out. Looks like they're trying to be safe instead of creative. Certainly not the direction I'd prefer to see the series going in.

Eh, let's see where they go with this first. I recall cries of 'passe!' from the fans when the first allegations of the return of the Master were made; and I think that one played out pretty well. :)

Then again... that whole Rose / Doctor love dynamic deal did get a bit grating... hmm...
