Regarding the dvd region thing, I bought a LG dvd player the other day, I used http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks to set it to region zero (it was soooo easy) & I could watch my stripperella box set straight away.
Great. Now I have to go buy some "Oops I Crapped My Pants".

(a) I hate the region shit, biggest example of a false, technologically-unnecessary market restriction today.
(b) The British got multiregion DVD players sorted out pretty quickly. For everyone else, there are hacks to set the DVD player to region 0. That's what we did with ours. :)
(b)(i) Caveat: DVD drives are a bit harder to deal with; for that, there's always Slysoft.
