I'm actually really glad that Takara retooled the gimmick and head of Micron Densetsu Sandstorm mold to create a strange character inspired by a Beast Wars repaint that used the "robot" head instead of the Waspinator mutant head.
I really don't like Super Deformed shit at all but this Super Deformed Super Fire Convoy that was peaking at a bathing AI is really awesome. Then again, we loves us some Super Fire Convoy. Perhaps out there somewhere these is an extremely rare Lucky Draw Super Deformed Black Super Fire Convoy for me to find!
Since I recently did some Fortress Maximus pics, I figured I'd a few from Brave Maximus for comparison. I actually like his paint deco a helluva lot better.
I especially like the combined form of The Emissary and Cerebros.
Yeah. That's bad of me not to remember (or bother looking up) the Japanese names for these two in Car Robots.
In Robots In Disguise, they treated the little Headmaster as Cerebros, and then the "body" was this entity called The Emissary.
They really didn't do shit at all.
In fact, Maximus goes from being a star player in the G1 Headmasters to basically a huge prop.
It totally sucked.

The whole TF headmasters concept has intrigued me - how about a group shot of any G1 headmasters you have?
I've decided I need to add at least 1 to my collection. Now to decide which ....
I don't really have many since I'm not a huge G1 toy fan.
However, I may be buying a lot of Pretenders and Headmasters and there are like 10 fairly hard to find figures there.
Pretenders were so lame... I've just sold all of mine, except the Mega one, Thunderwing which is mostly complete...

Ahh, stupid kid! I had Vroom (worst TF name ever, great toy) and Thunderwing, and I ended up junking both of them... I need to build myself a time machine and go back and slap myself.
The Pretenders were mostly lame, but the idea itself is pretty good - I just think that they needed to go down the Thunderwing route; little transforming robot, big transforming shell, combined mode. Ah, the possibilities!
BTW, we love us some Buzzsaw around here. I need to pick up Clench already, so we can get us some combined love.
