Pierogi Day 2007

So with a very hurty back, I bid you greetings on this cold damp icky December Pierogi Day morning!

I managed to get all the fillings made yesterday and spent 2 f'n hours peeling potatoes.

So on the docket today we've got beef and dill, sweet cheese, potato and cheese, kapusta (polish saurkraut), and mushroom.

I'm gonna start making dough soon so that when my slave labor friends start showing up around 10:30 we can get going on with the rolling and cutting to prepare the mass stations of filling.

Thankfully, the freezer is back in the basement and fully operational.

Let the madness begin!

Oh. And SpectroScott found me a Deluxe 2008 Bumblebee. I've never ever seen one in the wild here in Cowtown.

He'll be in my hands in a few hours.

I hear he's actually a really decent figure, ugly movie design aside.

yeah that 08 BB has been a real bitch to find here too. I could have got that "Evolution of a Hero" 2-pack when the DVD came out, but frankly I HATE the battle-damage crapola (and I didn't want another of the oldbee mold). Found the single-pack one about 2-3 weeks ago and snagged it like a bum snagging cheap wine. That's the only one I've seen since then.

Yeah. I passed on the 2-pack as well for the same reasons. Others volunteered to get me one but I figured over the months at least I'd find one on a shelf but it never ever happened.

I recommend the Isle of Jura whisky if ever you find it. Absolute bloody lovely whisky...

M.

I got my son an '08 Bumblebee. I think one movie 'Bee in the house is enough, but it has made me want to get Cliffjumper when he finally comes out. Like you said, it IS a pretty good figure if you can get past the craptastic movie aesthetic.

okay the Perogis sound damn good right now.

I've found only two Arcee's and one Bumblebee out here in ND. I need to find one more for my friend's daughter. She wants it for christmas badly after seeing the movie. She thinks he's cute.

The movie aesthetic wouldn't even be that bad with Bumblebee if they had just released him in full 'battlemask' mode.

As always, Jin shows us how it should have been done.
