Yes. I'm pretty positive I want him now from this damn photo.
I can only image what he'd look like with a little Jin purtification. No doubt even better.
I'm also thinking that the future Mediocre Room of Love#8482; would look kind of cool with maybe 5 or 6 Sky-Lynx figures in like an attack formation hanging from the ceiling. Of course, I'd rummage the damaged bins at a con to find those. I can't see dropping the cash for the new release. Well... maybe one.
I'm thinking that I'll be revamping the office sometime in February. That is if I finish the foyer and the stairwell in January. I really need to get some quotes on having the hardwood floors refinished. The first level floors are ok but the 2nd level floors are in bad shape.

Oh man, that guy is so totally Vortex. I kind of want him.

I never thought of that. But he kind of is Vortex isn't he?
Its the Osprey alt mode that I really love about that figure, the hands...not so much. Will get it since its a new mold but I've been dragging my feet on the rest of the movie line. I guess I really don't care that much. The completionist in me would love to see getting all the different molds (can't see myself getting the repaints), but at the same point that money that isn't spent on movie toys I could care less about could be put to some Masterpiece figures or the MP3 Soundwave.
Perhaps that's the first step to ween a bad habit. Move to quality over quantity. I picked up the Wal-mart Starscream Friday and DAMN! I heard folks bitch about the mold's frailness, inability to stand, and the inaccurate coloring. This thing feels sturdy, there is an internal frame and that is diecast but the rest is a good solid plastic. Archevile was at least better in white plastic and the attempt at flesh on the face than the Japanese release. So for $50 it's really well done and seems to fix some of the complaints folks had with him. I can get him to stand just need to pick a spot in the house that isn't prone to wobbling.
Yes. Masterpiece Starscream is indeed a fragile little bitch.
I don't know about Masterpiece Skywarp though.
I've heard that this Walmart Starscream shares the MP Skywarp's retools to make the mold more sturdy. I've always liked the black and purple but I think I need to get MP Megatron first before getting a repaint. Don't know if I'd buy it again if they offered him as Thundercracker.
Im getting my walmart screamer soon. :-)
I recommend fishing line for hanging figures...I use 12lb. weight to hang mine, and it's nice and sturdy, and really helps with the illusion that they're flying.
I want this guy too .... and I haven't seen Wal-Mart Masterpiece Starscream anywhere ....
:(
Call around or get the item number and see if your local walmart can get a case in from the regional distributor. My local store never gets exclusives in unless I special order like that or order online, then magically the store gets them in stock.
I've found a place for Starscream on my desk, he's holding Archeville and pointing to him with that wonderful snear he has.
As for fishing line I've used that to hang Primus and Unicron above my desk. Pretty nice effect and solves the shelf space problem with them.
