Funny. But not really funny.

One of the blogs I lurk at is Tokyo Hunter and he recently posted some pics from the Tokyo Toy Festival.

I find it so funny that that Mark Ryan guy, who did absolutely nothing of acting merit in the Transformers movie, is out signing autographs on the international toy show circuit.

The guy spent what, 2 minutes recording 2 lines of for Bumblebee?

Fandom.

So silly.

And yet if they drag this guy to the GRC fanboys will be all over him.

Well, look at Jeremy Bulloch. Boba Fett did way less on film than 'Bee, and Bulloch didn't even voice his 4 or 5 lines, but that guy always has long lines at conventions. Fandom is a funny thing.

"Check it out, dude! It's the guy that pushed the plunger that sprayed the simulated pee in the Team America sex scene!"

Then again, I would like to get that guy's autograph.

I agree, fandom is silly ... this guy didn't do much in the TF movie ... who cares??

Or maybe I'm just not a "real" TF fan ...

LOL

Actually, Mark Ryan was also the guy that all the actors bounced lines with, since there weren't actually robots there to talk to. Technically he said every autobot and decepticon line in the movie.

Which does not change the fact that the character of Bumblebee has about 2 lines spoken by him.

Hey, Stan Bush still gets convention love. And the most action he's gotten since the 1986 film is Marky Mark covering him in Boogie Nights.

And Heavyarms-the guy who runs Snarl's homepage (which is now defunct, although he still sells on eBay) actually did work on Team America. He sent me a behind the scenes pic from Gary's puke scene. So there's your TF/Team America connection.
