No more photography before packing.

So I've decided, for the sake of speed, that I will no longer try to document the collection via 1 photograph of each item I own.

I wanted to get this done purely for insurance purposes but the added time to do this just is too much a hit on getting the attic packed up.

I'm just going to start throwing toys in bins and boxes instead.

Yes, the disorganization will continue until I buy a new house or rent a new place and have time to sort again.

One thing that has definitely hit me is 1900+ is entirely too much shit in my life.

Talk about a monkey on your back that doesn't allow you to react or be flexible.

Too much shit in my life and these Transformers contribute to the majority of it.

Hell... I've just been throwing the toys in the box and snapping pictures without a care or concern for dust, missing pieces, lighting, white point, etc.

I obviously don't care that much.

Two years ago I moved from Long Island to Oslo, Norway. Before I left I went through the same thing. So many toys and so little time. But worse just SO many toys. I had toys that had been packed up in a box for a year without looking at them. It was then that I decided to gut my collection and try to only buy/keep what I really cared about. I sold off all of my Armada (except unicron) and boy was that nice, 13 less boxes sitting around it was surprising how much space they were taking up when I didn't even really like them. I then when through and photographed all of my G1 (84-86) toys. I had been meaning to do this, but not bringing them with me forced to just sit there hour after hour doing this. In the end I was very happy with the results and ended up making http://www.toybin.org/ out of the photos.

After the G1 toys were done there were plenty more toys and originally I was just as diligent, but like you in the end I was just slapping them in the light box and taking a picture and moving on (a few of them were not even in complete focus). But I am happy I got photos of them all so I can go through my galleries and I know what I already have or don't have.

Do not follow my lead! Move to Sweden and have your hobby classified as an addicition!

That may be one of the lamest things I've ever read. I'm surprised it isn't something happening here in 'Meruca.
