At first I couldn't care less about these but in lieu of what I consider lackluster film toy designs I am actually now considering snagging Shoe Convoy and Shoe Megatron.
Shoe Convoy itself is just ok but the whole package is great.

That's the kind of added touch typically seen with Takara stuff that Hasbro just has no interest in ever doing here.
Personally, I'd love to see Hasbro take a much stronger course with the collectors, especially in light of the future firestorm coming with this years Botcon figures.
Having said that, I can't blame Hasbro too strongly for what they do - there's a cultural obstacle. America and Europe have very clear-cut ideas about what is and isn't 'for children'; consequently it drives the market.
Just look at Hasbro's retail distributors - TRU? Wal-Mart? Bloody hell... not exactly in a hurry to stock, pardon the expression, 'toys for adults'.
This is the same problem that comics ran into, that anime ran into... it's all for kids, right? Hopefully another ten years and we'll see if not a complete turn-around in attitude, then at least some acceptance and consequently, some cool Hasbro shoeformers. :)
BTW, I'm fucking pissed at Firefox - I can let it go that the US dictionary doesn't include 'colour', but it thinks 'Hasbro' is perfectly legit? What the shit.
