I still haven't seen any Classics minicons in my area. But I'm planning on buying this set - not sure about the other two. Mind you, I am considering being a 'completist collector' when it comes to the TF Classics line. So far, all the Classics releases have been amazing. I have all of 'em, except for the Optimus & Megatron 2-pack - haven't seen it at all.
Firebot is great. Strongarm's is ok. Divebomb may be the single worst Transformer I've ever seen bot mode-wise. It is really awful.
You aren't missing much if you don't get the 2-pack. Total disappointment there.
A shame that you found this mini-con set so disappointing, but I'm still gonna get it - the alt modes are nice IMHO.
As for the 2-pack, yeah, most reviews agree with your view. Optimus' alt mode is pretty lame, but I like the tank Megatron.
DL: Hands down these are some of the best alt modes in a long long time.
I'm keeping them in this mode!
I figure the same logic will apply to the movie toys. I can't say I'm a fan of the bots but I do love the alt modes for the cars.
I have the strongarm that comes with cybertron primus, but mine has a consturction error not allowing it to transform... NOOOOO!!!
A construction error? Like in the incorrect assembling of the figure by small Chinese child laborers.

No, like in: "the pegs which attach his arms to shis body are rectangular instead of round.
Woah! Bad craziness.
yeah, and i gotta say,i was actually looking forward to transforming that minicon.
Even with this li'l prob, classics is still my favourite line,it knocked beast wars off the throne in my collection now.
Scorponok: Noooo! wtf? why do these crappy minicons take over our place?
Astrotrain comes flying in with new design followed by Grimlock,Bumblebee,Jetfire, and others.
Scorponok:oh,i see.
