Homoerotic Goodness???

I was putz'n around and came across this post at Tformers about the Revoltech Prime and Magnus figures.

The first comment by "slugpitcher" of "homoerotic goodness" had me burst out laughing.

I mean. It is bad enough that these alien robot life forms have gender when they don't reproduce sexually but it is even funnier in the context of them also frequentling combining with others to make new figures.

From a certain viewpoint, the G1 Constructicons have a veritable metal spark orgy going on.

Comments about G1 Sky-Lynx are best left unsaid.

I was really excited about the revoltech line when it was announced. I knew, that no matter the cost, I'd be orderin ga Devil May Cry Dante figure (the first fromt he line).

Then I learned that the line is like 5 inches tall. The photos make these look nicely sized but 5 inches doesn't go with any of my figures. Also the price started looking horrible at that scale.

They have neat articulation and nice style but I'll pass on these eternally.

Ack! Don't ruin it for me yet!!!

I haven't looked at price!

Aren't Magnus and Prime implied to be brothers?

If so, that's some gay incest right there.

And couldn't Magmatron be said to be having some kind of Onanistic Orgy in beast mode? Especially considering how, being a beast, he actually HAS genitals. . .

thank you frowny. i never once thought of the beast wars characters having animal balls. except for heinlad, i thought of it as disney esque and left it at that...

While I stopped picking them up a while back, some of the new comics have the dinobots retconned with "animal skins" to survive energon on earth or something a la Beast Wars.

Now all I can think of is Sludge with a scrotum, even though dinosaurs likely didn't have external genitalia.

Yes. Thanks Mister McBeard.

No problem guys!

I'm also available for children's parties.

(With apologies to the late Bill Hicks)

"...also frequentling combining with others..."

hmm, never really thought about it before, but it does make you pause thinking about tops and bottoms when looking at superlink.

That comment had me laughing too when I read it.
I actually really like the revoltech line. It helps to think of it as mainly a line of robots with a couple transformers in it - yeah it doesn't really fit with tfs but they are really fun to pose.

"...hmm, never really thought about it before, but it does make you pause thinking about tops and bottoms when looking at superlink...."

Eh... I think they are all versatile.

Parts is parts.
