Whatever happened to Lion anyway?

And then I read...

The DVD also features a winning soundtrack featuring the iconic theme "The TRANSFORMERS" performed by Lion, and the popular "The Touch," performed by Stan Bush.
I so love the inclusion of the word "winning" here.

Let's face it.

That soundtrack is one of the single worst collections of music used in a film.

Well, I liked the Unicron music, but I can't help but giggle every time I hear "You can win if you dare-dare-dare-dare. . . "

The instrumental parts are fine for what they are.

It is the 6th tier garage band metal songs that make me ill.

Just read an interview with Furman where he talks about how the movie was the best thing ever in transformers:

"It just blew me away. I remember being thoroughly pumped up by the soundtrack, and the action, and the whole thing."

So Simon Furman has very bad taste in music.

I pretty much like the movie up until they leave earth. It is all downhill for me from there. I can't stand the Quintessons. I can't stand Unicron. And for the most part, the "new" characters other than Hot Rod didn't do anything for me.

And of course, Hot Rod exists for all of 60 minutes or so before morphing into the incredibly lame Rodimus Prime by the end.
