Well, if the post on TFW2005 is true we finally have some voices to go with characters.
And on the whole, it isn't bad.
In fact, several of the names are actually voice actors and not celebrity voices which for me is one of the most important things that should have been considered. (Real voice actors typically get f'd over in these kinds of things!)
So obviously there's Cullen who is a voice actor and Hugo Weaver, while more of an onscreen guy, has done his share of voice acting in such films as Babe
Jess Harnell was a total shock. He portrayed the awesomely magnificent Wacko Warner in Animaniacs all those years ago and is pretty much strictly a voice actor.
Charlie Adler is a big time voice actor.
Keith David has done quite a bit of voice work.
Robert Foxworth has done some voices in recent years but is primarily a stage/screen actor.
Mark Ryan is pretty much not a voice actor.
All in all, not bad.
Not bad at all.
I'd have liked to see Welker and Corey Burton in there somewhere since they are 2 of my all-time favorites but what can ya do.
And Burton gets to be Megatron in the future animated TF show.
Keith David was also in one of my favorite movies of all time, John Carpenter's The Thing. Nice.
True. Great last scene. He's also the voice of Cartoon Network from time to time.
Awww,cheer up buddie,Frank Welker will be megatron in the video-game,but for the movie will have to settle with Hugo Weaving.
I like Hugo Weaving lots.
In fact, I'd love an outtake, a la Pixar, of Weaving doing Megatron but using the character of Mitzi Del Bra from Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Somehow, I don't think I'll ever get to see that.
Alas, I don't do games so I'll never see or hear that TF one.

I'll settle for Weaving, 'cause the guy has a wonderful delivery... even if I get the feeling he's going to be channeling a whole lot of Agent Smith into the character.
And Robert Foxworth! I hear he's gonna pull out at the last moment and go to DS9 instead...
But seriously... no Welker? Anywhere? That guy is *the* voice actor. I wonder what the circumstances were behind that one.
(Maybe Welker will get credited with "Miscellaneous transforming sound noises"...)
If it is true (and apparently it is) that Keith David is going to voice Barricade, then that might just make him my favorite movie character. He has a great voice and I can't wait to see (okay, hear) him as a Decepticon. He was great in The Thing, was also in my favorite Carpenter film, "They Live." I could watch that fight scene alone for two straight hours. 7 minutes over a pair of sunglasses.
I totally forgot he was in They Live.
