And then, Takara comes along and apparently delivers a realistic transforming Megatron and most of you seem to find some reason to bitch about that.

Fandom should be lucky TakaraTomy even remotely seems to have something of this magnitude on the drawing boards.
Quit your bitching about Megatron and go back to your bitching about that movie coming out in 8 months.
Apparently too many fans had sand in their vagina's and it hurt to bad when the read about it so thats all they got. I'm just happy there making an attempt to make him a gun again and if anyone is ordering one i suggest getting one from captured prey because unlike bigbadtoystore they claim he's going to come "unaltered"

This bitching is a good thing; TakaraTomy need to know what the fans think so they can create even better figs. Critical feedback is gold to any business; it's win/win.
1) It's going to be pretty rough getting the handle to turn into legs of appropriate thickness. And the scope is pretty much in scale with the original toy, it's just hanging a little lower. Frankly the fact that they got rid of the triggercrotch is enough of a redesign for me. Then again, I absolutely loved MP-03 so I'm kind of an easy mark when it comes to the Masterpiece series.
2) Critical feedback, yes. Not the kind of bitching that goes on when the fanbase isn't being catered to because Takaratomy "owes them something." What company can take criticism that sounds like an "I'd hit that/I wouldn't touch that" thread on Fark seriously?
Looks good... the legs do seem too thin, and the cannon a bit too big; but it's early days yet - and if MP Starscream proved anything, it's that Takara will make changes up to an including the last minute if that's what they think it will take to achieve perfection.
And having said that... folding the trigger into the legs is genius! I love seeing them come up with little things like this... ^_^

constructive criticism is suggesting two different sized scopes/cannons. i think it's pretty sad that most of these fans expect him to be able to look exactly like the cartoon model and turn into a gun. then the gun would look like crap and it'd be another shitstorm of bitching.

I'm curious why everyone all the sudden expect every MP tfs to be super realistic to the T or else (Starscream was a first).. Mp Prime isnt super realistic he's a a combination or both real and cartoon. But anyway, i dont care how skinny his legs are as long as the guy can stand..that doesnt look like it could stand. Well maybe it could about as well as the 1st Titanium Megs ..hahah OH and no theres no sand in my pussy i checked lol But then again im totally realistic in knowing its only a proto far far from done.
