One hour away from greatness!

No! No! No! No!

Set on Earth in the near future in Detroit, the alien TRANSFORMERS are thrust into a world populated by humans and automatons.
Detroit?

Detroit???

Arrghhhhh!!!!

Everybody knows that the obvious place to set the new Transformers animated series is Toledo, OH!

Why can't the creators see that?!?!?!

Arghhhh!!!

All the missed opportunities.

No Optimus Prime/Toledo Mud Hens caps! No Jamie Farr/Megatron LPGA Classics Tournaments! No Spike and Carly snogging in the Rudy's parking lot! No Shockwave laying waste to St. John's Jesuit!

*sigh*

So close to greatness.

So very very close yet so far away.

If there's one thing I find scary about Toledoans, it's that I can't tell if they are joking or not when they start talking about how amazing Toledo is...

Toledo is not to be mocked!

They should make it more topical.

Set it in the US occupied Carbombya.

Oh God, it's shades of SD Gundam Force all over again.

Here's hoping we get some decent crack out of the deal, at least.

They missed a great opportunity, just think of the possible exclusuve figures...

- 'Portside', with an alt mode that resembles a vacant mall

- 'LaGrinka', who turns pure energon into kapusta

- everyone's favorite new Autobot, 'Mayor Finkbeiner'

Max: You know what I'm say'n!

Folks:

Toledo, or no Toledo, I think I'm going to like this. I hope they use actual Detroit landmarks.

Of course the city should totally have been Buffalo.

And then Optimus exclaimed: "Autobots! Let's roll for Cobo Arena!"

5 whole Autobots. And tragic looking Autobots at that.

Well at least Prowl looks cool.

Bumblebee is fantastic!

As someone who lives in Buffalo, civic government would likely side with the Decepticons. But tell you that they have a planning board that's exploring a serious commitment with the Autobots. If a few things can be hammered out. Like tax subsidies to Megatron, because he means business on the Waterfront!

And nothing would happen on either side two months out of the year unless one of the Autobots was a snowplow.
