So there's a ton of busts, statues, and shit-like-that coming out.
It still amazes me that the only shit like this produced is inevitably focused on G1 characters.
If Hasbro had their way, I don' think they'd hesitate to kill off G1 completely.
Then again, they probably don't care what crack addicts buy as long as it is something Hasbro makes or licenses.
Of course, anybody under the age of 27 or so, and not part of TF geekdom, would have absolutely no idea who most of these characters are.
Well... of Unicron maybe.

"It still amazes me that the only shit like this produced is inevitably focused on G1 characters."
Not only that, but invevitably focused on only the early G1 characters.
Indeed!
Takara did a lot of ancillary products for their versions but I can't think of anything Hasbro really has done or licenses that focused on any characters other than those early G1 characters.
Yes. They are iconic now and all but I could do without another G1 Prime.
Hell, they could at least do something modeled after God Ginrai and just call it a version of Optimus Prime.
a bludgeon bust would be awesome!
I am SO all over that Omega Supreme statue and new Starscream bust. Ill get 3 of those so I can repaint them ^^
Uh, for the most part they still sell. AND WE'RE STILL TALKING ABOUT THEM. Besides, I understand that the g1 reissues did much, much better than the BW reissues. Can you blame a consumer goods corporation for going with what sells?
Wow yea i know its been done before but these look ALOT better then say... that last starscream bust they did. Those statues (ones with faces not face plates) were just wierd looking.
It would be nice to see them homage some of the G1 background characters... I realise it's a foolish dream; there's no real money in Hoist. Still would be nice though...
Hey, I still like Moist.
Besides, I understand that the g1 reissues did much, much better than the BW reissues.
I'm skeptical about this claim. I saw shelfwarming G1 reissues dropped down to single-digit prices, and they still took forever to move! I've only once seen a BW reissue clearanced in such a way (a $3 Rhinox I snatched up), and see few BW reissues on the shelves at all now.
But the fact of the matter is that I saw all of the BW older mold guys as shelfwarmers, especially Rhinox, and (at least at my TRU) the only G1 reissue guys that stuck around forever were Silverstreak and Ricochet. Waves one and two of the G1 reissues disappeared so quickly that at this point it's more expensive to get your hands on a reissue Powermaster Prime than it is for the superior God Ginrai reissue.
