TFauctions?

Have any of you ever used TFauctions.com?

It never seems to have more than a handful of auctions on it but I really like the way it is far better organized and TF-specific compared to the almost useless Ebay.

I'm leary about posting anything there since even their forums link doesn't work.

It has been around for awhile now but I'm assuming people are afraid to use it.

Thoughts? Knowledge?

Enlighten me.

I'm assuming it is primarily a United Kingdom-centric demographic site but I'm basing that purely on the fact that most if not all of the current auctions are listed in pounds.

Don't know anything about TF auctions. But, WTF auctions, that's another story.

I've looked at TFAuctions from time to time, but I'm a bit uneasy about it. Seems kind of fly-by-night, and I'm concerned about what to do if I run into trouble. That and the fact that it does seem a bit UK-centric (and I'm a real Scrooge when it comes to paying shipping fees) have kept me from actually trying them out, so far.

The only time i have ever bought from itwas once and it felt skecthy all the way unlike ebay where contact is constant but what i do like is that you can post "Want Ads" cause im still looking for botcon 2005 ironhide and actually was emailed by a guy who wanted to sell one but is was like $200 with is a little too much for plastic

I guess I don't understand how it makes economic sense for anyone to list TFs on there vs. eBay. I'd imagine your auction would be seen by far, far (thousands?)fewer potential customers on TFAuctions than it would on eBay.

Interestingly enough, tfauctions JUST released a commercial with Michael McConnohie (voice of Tracks and Cosmos) recreating his classic characters. It's worth a look: http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18140&hl=

My apologies for posting a comment on such an old thread, but it seemed worth adding that I'm looking to go ahead and experiment with TFauctions by putting up some DW comics there. I know they won't sell on eBay, and I'm not being charged just to put the item up, so it seems safe to try it out. The auction will start tomorrow (7/12/07).

Let me know how it works out.
