I have to say that in 22 years of Transformers, Scourge has got to be one of the finest Transformers ever made.

Yep, and the best of the trend started by Black Lio-Convoy of eeevil Primes. I got Black Convoy not that long after I started collecting, and it was the one that convinced me that a paint job can mean a lot to a figure. And therefore, why Universe didn't do that well. Purple Silverbolt? Yechhh.
Plus his alt mode reminds me of the Road Warrior. Good times. . .
