I've set up a Binaltech / Alternators / KISS Play gallery on Flickr .
I'm kind of shocked that 2 of my figures were never ever opened, and because of that, they are actually now some of the more rare items in the Attic.
Camshaft (above) barely ever appeared in the retail channels. I think Giga found me this one back in the days when he did a lot of evening and weekend toy runs. Personally, I've never ever seen one other than the one I own.
Swerve (above) has to be one of the stupidest rare figures that has ever come about. He's basically a head-retooled Tracks. The Tracks Corvette mold has been used for 2 versions (Binaltech Yellow and Blue), Hasbro Tracks, retooled head Ravage, and then Swerve.
Swerve was fairly late in the line but it is so funny he's become so rare. And surprisingly, I never opened him either.
The San Diego Con Exclusive Nemesis Prime (above) is a toy with a major cluster fuck history. Hasbro royally screwed the online ordering of this. I actually got one from the Transformers Collectors Club of all places.

Despite paying $50 for mine, I still think the whole Nem Prime saga is funny, especially since now he is little more than a foreign shelfwarmer.
And you'll probably get good money for that Swerve. Still, I agree that he's totally worthless in a non monetary context.
There's no room left in my tiny black heart to care about Camshaft at all. I was thinking of trying to find Ricochet and Rollbar because of the Predacon reprolabel sets, tho.
The last 3 recent TFs I've bought have been Alternators off of eBay ... what a sweet TF line!! I only have 4 of 'em, but now I truely appreciate how cool they are!!
Man, I wish I had collected these more the last year; instead I spent most of my dispensible income on old G1, Energon, & Cybertron figures.
Oh Swerve, oh Nemmy, what torrid histories you have. Heck, I'll take that Swerve for $20. :) And then I'll cut him up for mod parts. As my little girl says, "That would be great!" ;)
BTW Frowny, we've got a couple of Rollbars around the corner from here. Did you want me to pick one up for you?

Thanks, but I have to wait until my tax return comes in until I commit to more crack in the near future. If they haven't moved in forever, I'll let you know when I'm economically viable again. But again, thanks.
Frowny - heh, do I understand. :) As an aside, the Rollbars are currently sitting at a Meijers, and whatever else they are good at, shifting TFs isn't one of them. Heck, they've even got some Vector Primes. :) I'm sure they'll still be there when can afford one, but I can always pick it up and you can owe me, fans united and all that. :)
