Hmmm. This has got me all bad crazy and shit.
See. The whole Botcon theme doesn't really appeal to me at all.
I mean. Zero excitement.
But there's something about doing Prime in what basically amounts to an almost- Shockwave color pallet that stirs something in my loins.
Dammit!
Total dammit!
Balls dammit even!
He's not a pad repaint.
I even like the cracks, the "Until all are gone!", and especially the wear and tear. (Jin got me moist and lov'n the wear and tear.)
The colors for the most part work pretty well.
I'd prefer dirty silver or even a worn grey for those gold details but that's just because he's so "dirty" in general.
I hate to say it.
I really do.
But I like it.
Now I'm wondering if the rumblings and rumors are true of yet another repaint of this mold for SDDC as a straight-up Nemesis Prime Scourge.
He looks pretty good. How do the others look?
Alas, he's the only one to make an appearance so far.
I'm still a bit on the fence. I can't go this year too many other comitments but I'm leaning towards the set. I do love that mold and the black and purple is really cool. I know I really want the SDCC one and may even consider overpaying for a preorder to make sure I get one of those.
If it was any other mold I wouldn't care but this has to be one of my more favorite primes.
Also heard Rodimus is getting the bad guy treatment and that is a must have if they rig him up in black. But that is attendee only so I'd have to call in a favor from a certain blogger buddy in Ohio ;)
I'll let you know if I'll be opening of the Beetle's trunk to extras closer to the con.
The thing is... I really don't know if I want to be in line after line after line again.
I doubt they lines'll be the same though this year. I just don't see this theme selling like last years.
I also hope the lines are not like last years. I am compelled, like all good Canadians, to queue up in the lines. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.
Really? You like the "Evil Prime?" For some reason I was figuring you'd hate it. If I saw that in a store for $15 or something like that I'd get him but he's not worth whatever they're going to charge for him at the convention IMO. The "evil Goldbug" (pictures are up at Seibertron right now) looks pretty lame as well IMO.
I'm really curious to see what the heroic Megatron and Starscream are going to look like though. For some reason I predict them looking really badass.
Well they closed down the Iacon orders just as I get paid. No chance for a set now for me. I really hate the assnine way they handle the registration.
With club renewal coming up this really shoots any desire to renew.

Yeah. Goldbug is pretty much what I expected out of this set. Things such as reverse colors and and all.
I like 'em so far,can't wait to see grimmy starscream and laserbeak.
