Something tells me that, even though you say it, I honestly can't see you getting rid of some 75% of your TFs.
Even if there is no room at your new Home, I bet there's a better than slight possibility that you will end up renting a self-storage unit & letting the Bot's & Con's battle each other within those walls.
Here's a random question: how do you store your TFs? I actually just bought a house and am getting the collection ready for storage. Bubble wrap? Packing peanuts? The boxed TFs shouldn't be a problem, but I have a few loose without their boxes...
One aspect of collecting that most people don't realize is what having these massive collections looks like in the end. 2000 Transformers is multiple rooms (or an attic) to display - and more room to display properly. And in the end, you wind up with dozens to hundreds of figures you could care less about that are just part "of the collection", and only five to ten "Black God Fire Convoys" that really mean anything to you.
DoctorKent: Indeed. It really becomes a huge burden of crap. I'm going to keep what I love probably get rid of most of the other stuff. However, people will have to prise my Black Fire Convoy from my decomposing corpse!
DL: I haven't even been searching. You know how many times I've blogged about the fact Cowtown stores have been empty since July! I've been out hitting stores for new house stuff and have just randomly come across these recent guys.

70% of it is all in storage now.
I don't miss it at all.
That's why I know I can reduce this down to a manageable adult level of insanity.

I actually want Voyager Megatron & Thundercracker, since I didn't get the leader class Megs, nor voyager Starscream.
Nala - how the heck do you keep find these new TF releases when stores everywhere (at least in SoCal) have nothing but empty shelves??? Frak!!!
You lucky TF hunting bastard!!! I am jealous!!!
LOL.

And why the hell did I buy Final Battle Jazz???
anon: Honestly, I only really make sure that the stuff I really love is properly packed away.
70% of the attic was just put into huge plastic bins as-is because I was in a hurry to get the house staged for selling.
They're just toys. I doubt I'd ever bubble wrap or put them in peanuts.
