Transformers Movie Blackout

Transformers Movie Blackout (bot mode)

He was actually the only figure I really wanted but on acquiring him there's something missing from my expected love.

He's ok. Don't get me wrong. He's actually very nice.

But... I don't know.

I think I like some of the bots in the prototype generic resin grey color.

Some details seem to get lost when it gets painted.

Transformers Movie Blackout is the 1898th Transformer that I've acquired.

I think what these guys need is a couple of good 'dirt' washes to bring out the details. Remember how awesome Rev's Classics Starscream looked for a wash of black paint?

That would solve the issue right there... question is, would they sell so well to the target audience if they weren't quite so eye-wateringly bright?

I love the Blackout figure but if he doesint do it for you, you should get rid of it and buy the premium blackout fiure. It has a 'dirt' wash to help bring out a lot of the figures detail that JOP mentiond and it has a better skorponok figure and more defined facial features. I think you'd be much happier with it.
