Uh, haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth, but before you hand him the franchise, you do realize this is the director behind Hellboy and Blade II, right? Maybe, if Pan's Labyrinth was that good, he should learn from John Woo and stay the fuck out of Hollywood. . .
I thought Ron Perlman was a brilliant Hellboy waiting for an actual movie to happen around him. Seriously, Selma Blair makes me tired just looking at her. I'm a big fan of Mike Mignola and I just wasn't terribly impressed. (Much better was the animated Amazing Screw-On Head.)
I did like the fact that they used very little CGI. I miss old school special effects.

I loved Hellboy. Can't say I'm a fan of the Blade character period. All the films are the same movie to me.
