3" Titanium Movie Ironhide

I don't know why but I warmed to this little figure.

I really hadn't planned on getting any more of these guys but he's not bad at all.

Titanium Menasor (SDCC 2007 Exclusive)

Titanium Menasor (San Diego Comic-Con 2007 Exclusive)

The stuff from SDCC arrived today. So I've got my extra Hot Rod now, a psychedelic colored My Little Pony that I'm not sure what to do with, and this Menasor.

Like Classics Bumblebee, this mold is "too distinct" as Rodimus Prime to be used as another character. Keeping the flames doesn't help.

It is hilarious though that I now have the SDCC exclusive figure but I can't find a single G1 Ultra Magnus Titanium figure.

Titanium Menasor is the 1978th Transformer that I've acquired.

Titanium Movie Optimus Prime (vehicle)

This is a sharp little Prime in vehicle mode.

It is probably the best of the Titanium movie 3-pack.

3" Titanium Movie Optimus Prime (vehicle) is the 1972nd Transformer that I've acquired.

Titanium Movie Protoform Optimus Prime

Titanium Movie Protoform Optimus Prime

Quite frankly I like this Protoform Optimus a hell of a lot better then the earth-mode one.

His detail is sharp and while he really doesn't look like an OP I think he works better in this form.

3" Titanium Movie Protoform Optimus Prime is the 1971st Transformer that I've acquired.

3" Titanium Bumblebee (Metallic Exclusive)

I still think he's one of the better 3" Titaniums. I like the metallic sheen too.

Titanium Bumblebee (Metallic Exclusive) is the 1896th Transformer that I've acquired.

6" Titanium Beast Machines Cheetor

May 23, 2007 | | comments (3)

6" Titanium Cheetor (cat mode)

Wow! He's a really good figure. Quite possibly one of the best representations of Beast Machines Cheetor around.

No complaints here.

He'll be going to my new office at work. I'm decorating with 6" Titaniums!

Titanium Cheetor is the 1865th Transformer that I've acquired.

WW Prowl. It does a body good.

May 12, 2007 | | comments (9)

War Within Prowl? Yay!

Menasor from a repainted Rodimus Prime? Boooo!

They are grasping with the repaints here.

What next. The G1 Ultra Magnus done in Diaclone Powered Convoy colors?

Now that I might buy.

Then again, I can't even find a regular G1 Ultra Magnus or BM Cheetor.

Titanium War Within Sunstorm

6" Titanium War Within Sunstorm

After opening up such darkly colored figures, it was nice to open up something blazing yellow!

Titanium War Within Sunstorm is the 1857th Transformer that I've acquired.

Titanium War Within Ultra Magnus

April 17, 2007 | | comments (0)

6" Titanium War Within Ultra Magnus

He totally sucks!

Hasbro didn't even attempt to improve the poor quality of the original mold.

Awful! Awful! Awful!

Avoid him like the plague. Don't be a stupid Nala and buy one!

War Within Ultra Magnus is the 1853rd Transformer that I've acquired.

Titanium War Within Megatron

6" Titanium War Within Megatron

His legs are kind of loose and fall in a bit but I like him.

Titanium War Within Megatron is the 1852nd Transformer that I've acquired.

6"Titanium War Within The Fallen

6" Titanium Starscream

March 18, 2007 | | comments (3)

6" Titanium Starscream (Close-Up)

I found this repaint at a K-Mart of all places. I can't remember when I actually found and bought a Transformer at a K-Mart.

Once again Hasbro has gone for a more white color instead of the grey. I don't know why they just can't do this shit accurately for the collectors. The damn kids sure don't care.

6" Titanium Starscream is the 1834th Transformer that I've acquired.

6" Titanium Optimus Prime Fire Convoy

March 5, 2007 | | comments (1)

6" Titanium Optimus Prime (Fire Convoy) (close-up)

Let's just get it out of the way and call him 6" Titanium Fire Convoy. It totally alleviates any confusion as to who this character is and I really don't think of him as Optimus Prime anyway.

And well... it is my site... so *thhhpppppppt*

6" Titanium Optimus Prime (Fire Convoy) is the 1833rd Transformer that I've acquired.

He's just not very interesting to me.

February 16, 2007 | | comments (8)

6 Inch Titanium Ultra MagnusWell the 6" Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus, the first non-Optimus repaint in a very long time (not counting Energon Ultra Magnus) is set to hit toy shelves soon.

I never understood why fandom seems to both simultaneously love and loathe G1 Ultra Magnus.

I never cared for him in the show and I found his G1 toy an utter piece of crap.

But people still seem to love him.

Me?

I'm a God Magnus fan myself.

Now God Magnus is one helluva reinterpretation of Ultra Magnus if ever there was one.

He's stronger than Fire Convoy and has one major chip on his shoulder.

Hell... he's strong enough to even impart his energy onto the Autobot brothers so they can "power" up.

That's the kinda of Ultra Magnus I want!

I'll probably buy this 6" version just because he's not a straight repaint like we've gotten for so many years now.

But he's not that great looking is he. Big body. Small head.

Oh well.

Now can we please get Titanium War Within Megatron soon?

Or better yet... since we are getting a 6" Titanium Fire Convoy... how about a God Magnus to go with him!!! (And give him some articulate knees while you're at it!)

6" Titanium Soundwave and Laserbeak"

January 21, 2007 | | comments (2)

6" Titanium Soundwave and Laserbeak

What a piece of crap!

It took forever just to get him stable enough to stand. He's loose as shit and the legs are just awful. His saggy crotch doesn't help.

At first I thought he looked better in the packaging but once I got him out I had memories of 6" Titanium G2 Megatron.

Crap.

Laserbeak is kinda cool though for a simple as he is.

Titanium Soundwave and Laserbeak are the 1807th and 1808th Transformers that I've acquired.

3" Titanium G1 Galvatron

January 7, 2007 | | comments (0)

3" Titanium G1 Galvatron (disco pose)

Now at least Galvatron here isn't too bad a sculpt.

On the whole, most 3" poses are pretty weird and unsettling and Disco Pose Galvatron continued that aesthetic.

3" Titanium G1 Galvatron is the 1804th bot added to the Attic of Love.

3" Titanium G1 Optimus Prime (Battle-Damaged)

3" Titanium G1 Optimus Prime (Battle-Damaged)

No matter the paint job, he still looks like The Evil Monkey In Chris' Closet.

3" Titanium G1 Optimus Prime (Battle-Damaged) is the 1803rd bot added to the Attic of Love.

3" Titanium G1 Thundercracker

January 7, 2007 | | comments (0)

3" Titanium G1 Thundercracker

Let the repaints begin.

At least repainting Titanium Starscream still works in the general G1 "clone" sense used for the other seekers.

3" G1 Thundercracker is the 1802nd bot added to the Attic of Love.

3" Titanium Hot Rod

January 7, 2007 | | comments (0)

3" Titanium G1 Hot Rod

I just can't call him "Rodimus". It doesn't work for me.

I never expected to see one of these so soon but there he was mixed in with miscellaneous other toys and not in the TF section.

Alas, no Poopy Diaper Soundwave to be found.

What's scary is he's the one that took me over 1800 today. Bad craziness!

Titanium Rodimus Prime is the 1800th bot added to the Attic of Love.

3" Titanium Energon Skorponok

Titanium Energon Skorponok is the 1767th Transformer that I've acquired.

I kinda of wish Hasbro had done G1 Scorponok or Black Zarak.

Black Zarak would be great as a 6" Titanium.

6

It has been 20 years and I dislike this character just as much as I did in 1986.

I just think he's an ugly boat.

Don't get me wrong here now... Hasbro did the ugly boat thing justice here. He's solid with a good paint job.

The character just does nothing for me.

Titanium G1 Scourge is the 1746th Transformer that I've ever gotten.

6" Titanium Optimal Optimus

November 5, 2006 | | comments (0)

6

I can truthfully say that Hasbro has worked out the quality issues on the 6" titanium figures.

Optimal Optimus is top notch! He's great! His paint deco is decent. He's solid and not flimsy!

He rocks!

Titanium Optimal Optimus is the 1745th Transformer that I've ever gotten.

New Titaniums!

October 12, 2006 | | comments (9)

Titanium Primal PrimeWell it looks like the new wave of 6" Titanium figures may just be shipping very soon if the news sites are to be believed.

And I gotta say I'm pretty excited.

Originally I was pretty apathetic about the line but based on Jetfire and Thundercracker my opinion turned. And then of course the ones unveiled at Botcon got my panties sopping wet!

War Within Megatron and The Fallen (for some reason) totally appeal to me.

G1 Ultra Magnus will become part of the collection but honestly, I've never been a fan of this version of the character at all. Pretty much the same for G1 Scourge too. I just have no love for either character or their original toys.

But Beast Machines Cheetor and Optimal Optimus are screaming to me. Especially Optimal Optimus!

He and Scourge will supposedly be out soon and I just have to have him!

And I have no idea why?!?!?!

His appearance has always been a bit strange, being a mix of vehicle/jet/gorilla/thing and yet I totally love him!

So? Any of you excited about these?

There's something very Hubcappy about him, and by that I mean you'll need to look up Hubcap in the Dreamwave Guidebook to understand.

Titanium Ark

Ok. Do I count this as a "transformer" in the collection? I count my PVCs but they are representations of bots.

The Ark? Not so much.

What do you think?

For now I'm leaving it as a count but I could go either way on this.

Titanium Series - Optimus Primal

Wow. Much like 3" Beast Megatron this little Optimus Primal is also one of the tops in the Titanium line so far.

The other figures just seem like customs someone hand painted.

I've seen kitbash/customs that are better than most of these so far.

I'm curious as to why his "helmet" sides are black though. Color mistake? Bad model sheet?

Still. It doesn't ruin a good figure.

Review - 3" Titanium Series

July 1, 2006 | | comments (2)

While this is a bit premature with 3 more figures still to be acquired, I've got to put my two cents in on the recently released Titanium Series figures that I do have.

This includes War Within Optimus Prime, Unicron, Beast Megatron, Sidewipe, Jazz, and Starscream.

Well...

Titanium Series - War Within Optimus Prime

I'd rather have a full actual transforming version of this version of Prime but I'll have to settle for this little static version.

Hell. It is an amazing thing that fandom even gets a tiny version of a Prime that only appeared in the Dreamwave comic series "The War Within".

This is what Prime looked like prior to crashing on Earth and being reformatted into a semi-truck by Teletran-One.

Titanium Series - Lame Plot Device Unicron

I really hate Unicron.

No. I mean it.

I really do.

He's a lame overused plot device.

For 20 years I've hated him.

And now I have a miniature version that looks like he's bowling.
